Brenda has been on a path with horses for much of her life, pursued a degree in Animal Science, worked as assistant manager at horse farms, and has since managed and operated her own farms since 1992. Her career as a Scientist in the pharmaceutical industry for nearly 30 years, carried over to the interactions with her horses, with experiences in teamwork, leadership, mentorship, and observational skills. She competed with horses in Eventing, trained with world Eventing champions and international trainers, and a variety of other experiences; attending workshops in natural horsemanship, animal communications, a cellular level of hands-on touch, and coordinating and participating in equine exhibitions at a local Renaissance Fair. This all contributed to strengthen the communication and deepen the bond with horses.
Along the way, her time in the barn shifted, no longer for goal setting and achievement. When given time to listen, in a quieter way, the horses revealed their voice, and offered to hold a space for healing, and model how to be in the present moment.
In 2012, Brenda enrolled in the Touched By a Horse® Certification Program based in Colorado, and studied the Equine Gestalt Coaching Method® (EGCM®), founded by Melisa Pearce. Since 2014, Brenda Givler is a certified practitioner of EGCM® and began her business, offering support to those that are struggling to find themselves and their purpose, connecting horses and humans with the gift of equus.
