Coqui is a small, black Puerto Rican Paso Fino (translates to "fine step"), and named after the Puerto Rican tree frog. She has a spirited, yet sensitive energy to share. She is quite the mind reader and offers a quiet space, or a gentle nudge to new directions. Born in 1998, we have been together since she was 4 years old in 2002.
"Zip" is a registered Appaloosa from the popular stallion, "Zippin' to Paradise" with lots of splashy color. His previous career was a western pleasure show horse. Born in 1998, he joined us in 2013, Usually a quiet presence and oversees the herd, and now enjoys being a part of the sessions.
Bella is a registered Mini and stands at 32 1/2" high, born in 2006, and came to us in 2012. She is an interesting "dun" color (mousey brown with and dorsal stripe). Don't be fooled by her size, she has a lot to say. She teams up often with the other horses in our session work!
Ray was a stray Tom and we captured, neutered and released him in 2018, but decided he wanted to stay. Turns out he was very friendly!
Ming is more in the house since Ray took over the barn. She may come out to visit when she 'feels' like it.
Lyle is a Miniature Australian Shepard, born in 2016. Energetic, yet very smart, favorite daily activity is chasing squirrels and greeting everyone who comes!
